Ongoing courses: Wuji & Taiji

If you’ve ever thought about exploring the health and wellness benefits of Taijiquan (Tai Chi), now is always the best time! I’m excited to introduce two online courses I’m teaching that anyone can take safely at home.


[STILLNESS] Wuji Qigong is a 4-week course that introduces you to a Standing Meditation practice that:

      1. offers numerous health benefits including postural improvement, stress reduction and immunity boost, to name a few; and
      2. builds a solid foundation for Taijiquan and other martial arts training. 

In addition to instructions on body alignment, mind work techniques, this course also includes weekly worksheets to help you build a daily practice routine in small, manageable steps. This course is open for enrollment on an ongoing basis.

[MOVEMENT] Introduction to Chen Style Taijiquan is a 14-week course that introduces you to:

      1. Taijiquan (Tai Chi) fundamentals applicable across styles and lineages; and 
      2. the first section of Chen Family Taijiquan Laojia Yilu (Old Frame First Routine), one of the oldest forms of Taijiquan.  

This course can be taken synchronously or asynchronously: 

      • LIVE CLASSES will be held on Fridays, 2pm – 4pm US Pacific Time (time zone converterMay 14 – August 13, 2021. Registration for this option is open through May 23 but best to enroll before the first live class!  
      • RECORDINGS of live classes will be released by Saturday 2pm US Pacific Time (time zone converter). Registration for this option will remain open for self-paced learning.
